"The 23rd of November is an event that will take place in the context of the European Year of the Fight against Poverty and Social Exclusion, including economic exclusion. I am particularly pleased that we shall be all be meeting to defend a cause that we have long supported, one whose solutions can be found at local level, and that should also dare to include a global dimension.

All of us have contributed at our various levels of governance contributed in our own ways, with our complementarities, so that all people may become actors of their own development. We hope that this meeting will now help us to move forward from our current situation of being a collective of actors, each with his or her own contribution, to becoming a collective actor, in the form of the European P’ACTES that we shall launch at the end of our day’s work.
