In July 2004, in Trois Rivière, Québec, 25 people, representing hundreds of organizations, through their networks,launched the North American Network for the Solidarity Economy (NANSE). The NANSE is connected to the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of the Social Solidarity Economy.
